Ryan Wise comes from a family with nearly 100 years in the restaurant industry. As first-generation arrivals, his ancestors built their lives in America the way so many did at the time: through food.
Between the 1930s and the 1950s, his family opened a string of restaurants across the U.S., including a diner in Chicago, an ice cream shop in Los Angeles, the Snow White Café on Hollywood Boulevard, and the Chuckwagon Diner. Each was a special family legacy and a treasured neighborhood spot.
Ryan followed in his family’s footsteps, opening BBQ Bistro in Huntington Beach, California. After moving to North Carolina, he now carries that legacy forward as chef and co-owner of Riverbend Grill. He is excited to bring nearly a century of family hospitality, hard work, and a love of feeding people into a new kitchen of his own.
